Circe (the “Witch of Aeaea”) is best known for transforming Odysseus’ men into pigs in Homer’s The Odyssey.  What if they story had been told from her point of view?  Madeline Miller returns with a myth-based novel focused on Circe as she discovers her true power.

This book has a lyrical quality and provides an interesting look at the dynamics between Greek gods, demigods and nymphs.  Perdita Weeks is the perfect choice for the audiobook.  Recommended for anyone who likes a good retelling of a classic tale.
