As we age, we cannot we cannot function as we did when we were younger. Women, especially, need to successfully find a new identity as they are no longer taking care of a family and may no longer be working. They may also become caregivers for either their parents or spouse. Mary Pipher’s new book covers these issues along with several others that older women face. The book talks about how to find your “older person” identity and how to keep things in perspective. It talks about the using outside activity as a way to solve loneliness and prevent isolation–one suggestion was to join a book club!
