Building Program 

The Facility Needs Assessment Committee (FNAC) was formed in early 2012 to work with a consultant to determine the facility needs for the Library’s community for the next twenty years. The tremendous population growth in Hancock County in the decade between 2000 and 2010 has made the renovation and expansion of the library building a necessity.

The Building Program was completed in August 2012 and approved by the Board of Trustees in September 2012.

The Committee conducted interviews in the spring of 2013 and choose WBRC Architects/Engineers of Bangor, Maine to do the concept design for the project. The concept design process is currently on-going.
