Zippety’s July Letter

DSC02160Hi friends!

Yay! It’s summer! I love the warm weather. I like to go to the ocean and wander on the beach.

It’s July now, and that means Summertime Delights. These are programs that happen every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm. On July 8 you can come see the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers preform their show “Everybody Loves Pirates.” On July 15 we’ll have Mad Science of Maine with their show “Super Hero Science.” Join us July 22 for Peter Boie, magician for non-believers. On July 29 we will Steve Corning’s Extraordinary Variety Show.

Do you have a pet that you think is the best? Sign up for our annual pet show! You can sign up at any time before the show here at the library. All kinds of pets are welcome (but please keep your pets leashed or caged) and every pet wins a prize. The pet show will be Saturday July 18 at 10:00 am.

Do you love superheroes? Have you ever wanted to tell a superhero story? This summer the library is presenting a series of events for kids focusing on storytelling and becoming a hero. Come tell your own superhero story at literacy Fridays July 10, July 24, and August 7 at 2:00 pm.

We also have our regular storytimes and LEGOs on the 17th.

I hope I’ll see you soon.

Your Friend,

Zippety

P.S. Don’t forget:  The library will be closed on July 4th for Independence Day.
