The Friends of EPL was formed in 1986 to in part “support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community.” The organization is a 501 (c) 3 charity and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Friends sponsor fundraising activities throughout the year and use these monies to help the library provide programming for all ages and purchase items that are not funded from other sources. The Friends also provide help to the library staff at special events such as the annual Pet Show in July and with projects like decorating the library for the holidays in December.
